From Summer To Winter

Emotional Attachments are dangerous. We have all been there, done that!

Such is my story too.

I have been toxically attached to so many of my summer wardrobe pieces! Autumn/Winter has set in, whilst I am not ready to move on. So we decided to come to a common ground.

Through this post, I have tried showing about five quick and easy ways to take your ’emotionally attached summer’ numbers into autumn/winter!

1.Combat that Midi:

Have a midi skirt that you can’t live without? I feel ya! Show them the winter sun by teaming with a  pair of calf high combat boots, or higher.

2. Bean(ie) It up:

That irreplaceable summer shift dress? Give it a winter makeover by donning a cute beanie on your head and a warm shawl/scarf around the neck to stay cosy.

P.S: Do make sure your beanie has pompoms! Playing with them makes for a good distraction when trying to avoid communication with people. Introverts, Roger That! 😉

3. Slip it over a Plain White Tee:

The international runways and streets have been fairly smitten by the layering of a slip dress over a plain white tee. Here’s my slightly tweaked version. Teamed a fit and flare sleeveless maxi dress with a slightly over-sized plain white tee. If the temperature drops further, throw on a warm shawl/cape.

The top bun is btw a rubber band.

4. The Biker Jacket, Ankle Boots and Sock Combination:

Give any other short dress a winter upgrade by throwing on a jacket of any sort(I have used a biker), ankle boots(raging this season), and a pair of woollen socks to keep your body temperature from dropping.

5. Make it (t)high:

One of the quickest ways to transform any short summer dress into a winter one is by teaming it with woollen, thigh high socks and a pair of boots. I have used a pair of combat boots, you could use ankle-high, or even brogues to keep things classy, yet quirky!

So here’s hoping that you too attain a common ground with your summer favourites this Autumn/Winter.

Would love to know which was your favourite look.

The shots have been taken by Puja Singh Nadhani while on my recent trip to Bangalore. I have to admit, the streets there simply make the street style so worth it!

On that note, tada!

Cheerio!
